Know thyself! How can we move forward if we don’t know and understand ourselves? What do we believe? What do we stand for? How do we see ourselves?L

Listening and reading the commentaries, views and opinions and reactions to Minister of Finance Colm Imbert’ s fiscal 2018 National budget statement in the context of T&T’s economic downturn can be or should be an important retrospective.

T&T is at an important crossroads. We are at an important phase along the journey from Slavery, Colonialism, Independence and Republicanism. Who are we?

Where do we go from here?

Know thyself.

Everybody must share the burden. T&T must answer the call. All of us must work together to clean up corruption not just violent crime...white collar crime. We need to build a better nation for a better future.

While trying to think about the way forward for sport against the backdrop of Budget 2018 someone sent me the Proust Questionnaire. And as if needing a respite from the heavy lifting of the budget contemplation, I took time out to answer the questions.

What I thought would be a few minutes of light hearted fun, morphed into a weekend’s worth of angst.

I am sharing the questionnaire as sent to me. Give the questions and your answers some thought you may surprise yourself and gain a necessary window of clarity about the way forward.
