The Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee (TTOC), BPTT along with Michael Johnson Performance (MJP) elite high performance partnership will continue to assist TeamTTO athletes and their coaches. Since 2012, the BPTT /MJP/TTOC athlete-centred and athlete-focused partnership approach has provided performance support for T&T's elite level Olympic athletes.

Double Olympic taekwondo champion Jade Jones of Britain has vowed to ensure she does notrepeat the mistakes she made following her London 2012 triumph after she successfully defended her under 57 kilograms title at Rio 2016.

The Olympic Flag today landed at Tokyo's Haneda airport, after having travelled more than 18,000 km between the Olympic city of Rio and the Japanese capital. The flag was handed over by Rio Mayor Eduardo Paes to Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike at the closing ceremony of the Rio 2016 Games on August 21st at the Maracanã Stadium.
