The Guardian Group once again reaffirmed its long-standing partnership and commitment to the Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee’s (TTOC) Athlete Welfare and Preparation Fund with a $200,000 cheque. The Fund offers financial assistance and professional support to athletes in their preparation for Olympics as well as for life after sport.

The hand-over took place at the Guardian Group headquarters, Columbus Circle, Westmoorings, last Friday. In a media release, the Guardian Group stated: “For the past 17 years this partnership has allowed many athletes the opportunity to train, recover and compete. The Fund aims to assist athletes with out of pocket expenses, health and accident insurance, life skills training and career development. Our continuous commitment to this programme is testament to one of our guiding philosophies, which is to nurture and develop sport in Trinidad and Tobago and the region at large.”
