THE local basketball fraternity is now mourning national player Shawn "Shawny" Lawrence, 30, who died on Wednesday.

Andrew Ifill, who played for Maloney Pacers, Detour Shak Attack, Royal Extra Lion and Petro Jazz during his basketball career her in T&T.

With a pow­er­ful de­sire to ho­n­our late Guyanese bas­ket­baller An­drew Ifill, friends and fam­i­ly came to­geth­er at the Mal­oney In­door Sports Are­na and played bas­ket­ball match­es in his ho­n­our on Sun­day.
