Quarter miler Renny Quow was named the first ever TTOC People’s Choice winner based on voting by sport fans on social media.

The other innovation introduced this year's was best dress male and female.

A dapper looking Machel Cedenio sporting a goatee was adjudged best dress male. While journalist Cherisse Moe got the nod for best dress female.

Para athlete Akeem Stewart was popular choice for Sports Personality.

It was the first time the TTOC Annual Awards Gala was held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel.

A popular feature was the Pre show.

The TTOC also turned the foyer of the Port of Spain Ballroom into a mini museum.

Carried live on WiSports based on comments heard from those in attendance the TTOC 2016 Annual Awards scheduled for Thursday 29th December 2016 will be a must attend.
