As the Olympic clock continues its countdown to this year’s Summer Games in Rio. Our athletes are poised to take the world stage, and represent Trinidad and Tobago in their respective sports. The TTOC holds steadfast in its commitment to our athletes, providing them with our comprehensive support as they continue to prepare themselves mentally and physically for the challenges ahead.

To meet its objectives, the TTOC continues to implement new and innovative approaches to its Marketing and Fundraising efforts. Now, with less than 75 days to the opening of Rio 2016 the TTOC has accelerated its fundraising drive with the launch of a Text to Donate Campaign. With the help of its partner, Press Pay Jukebox, members of the public are now able to use their mobile devices to text in donations to a unique shortcode, that directly benefit the athletes. Simply texting the word ‘Donate’ to TTO10, TTO20 or TTO50 allows for an automatic deduction from pre-paid or post-paid users’ accounts in the amount of $10, $20 or $50 respectively.

The TTOC views this SMS campaign as an enormous opportunity to invite and engage members of the public to actively support of our national athletes. The innovative use of the mobile platform not only ensures ease of participation, but also affords a high level of convenience to the public. By bridging digital and traditional marketing channels the TTOC is able to maximise the campaign’s reach, inspiring and stimulating mobile users of varying demographics, nationwide.
