The ShuttleForce duo of Will Lee and Jada Renales proved over the weekend that they are among the top junior badminton players in T&T, winning three titles each at the T&T Badminton Association Solo Junior Open tournament at the Central Regional Indoor Sporting Arena in Chaguanas.

Lee, the number one ranked player in the boys singles Under-19 draw, was forced to dig deep to capture the title. Lee lost the opening set 21-23 to Adrian Nicholson, but bounced back with a 21-5 win in the second set. In the deciding set, Lee prevailed in a close battle 21-18.

In the boys doubles U-19 round robin category, Lee and Nicholson joined forces to win the event. Lee and Renales, the top ranked team in the mixed doubles U-19 category, outlasted Nicholson and Ralista Wong 21-17, 21-13 in the final as Lee wrapped up his third title.

Ralista Wong also paired up with Renales to capture the girls doubles U-19 round robin title. Renales only needed one match to win the girls singles U-19 title, with a 21-10, 21-18 victory in the final over Ananda Ramsingh. Renales earned a quarterfinal (first round) bye and then had a walkover win in the semi-finals.
