This country’s first two Olympic Medallists, weight lifters Rodney Wilkes and Lennox Kilgour, were inducted into the Pan American Weightlifting Hall of Fame.
Wilkes, who won Silver in London in 1948 and Bronze in Helsinki four years later in 1952 along with Kilgour, have made weight lifting the second most successful sport at the Olympics for Trinidad and Tobago.
Speaking at their induction, President of the Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee, Brian Lewis, said both men deserve the recognition for the sport they have given so much to.
